I think that if you feel homosexuality is wrong, it is not a phobia, it
is an opinion.
I have the right 'NOT' to be tolerant of others because they are
different, weird, or tick me off.
When 70% of the people who get arrested are black, in cities where 70%
of the population is black, that is not racial profiling; it is the Law
of Probability.
I believe that if you are selling me a milkshake, a pack of cigarettes,
a newspaper or a hotel room, you must do it in English! As a matter of
fact, if you want to be an American citizen, you should have to speak

My father and grandfather didn't die in vain so you can leave the
countries you were born in to come over and disrespect ours.
I think the police should have every right to shoot you if you threaten
them after they tell you to stop. If you can't understand the word

I don't think just because you were not born in this country, you are
qualified for any special loan programs, government sponsored bank loans
or tax breaks, etc., so you can open a hotel, coffee shop, trinket
store, or any other business.
We did not go to the aid of certain foreign countries and risk our
lives in wars to defend their freedoms, so that decades later they could
come over here and tell us our constitution is a living document; and
open to their interpretations.

I know pro wrestling is fake, but so are movies and television. That
doesn't stop you from watching them.
I think Bill Gates has every right to keep every penny he made and
continue to make more. If it ticks you off, go and invent the next
operating system that's better, and put your name on the building.
It doesn't take a whole village to raise a child right, but it does
take a parent to stand up to the kid; and smack their little behinds
when necessary, and say 'NO!'
I think tattoos and piercing are fine if you want them, but please
don't pretend they are a political statement. And, please, stay home
until that new lip ring heals. I don't want to look at your ugly
infected mouth as you serve me French fries!
I am sick of 'Political Correctness.' I know a lot of black people, and
not a single one of them was born in Africa; so how can they be
'African-Americans'? Besides, Africa is a continent. I don't go around
saying I am a European-American because my great, great, great, great,
great, great grandfather was from Europe. I am proud to be from America
and nowhere else

I was asked to send this on if I agree or delete if I don't. It is said
that 86% of Americans believe in God. Therefore I have a very hard time
understanding why there is such a problem in having 'In God We Trust' on
our money and having 'God' in the Pledge of Allegiance. Why don't we
just tell the 14% to BE QUIET!!!

2) Spoken like a true white male. These policies came about because we did things like force black people and women to go to separate, poorly-funded schools, ride different buses, and use different drinking fountains. If you seriously think that everything in this country is 100% equal and there's no such thing as sexism or racism, you need to get your head out of your ass.
3) The purpose of banning certain types of guns is so that there is an enforceable law in place to prosecute people when we catch with them. By this logic it's useless to have laws banning stealing because people are going to do it anyway.
4) The Boy Scouts are a homophobic religious organization that has no business getting government funding. This is not to say I object to the Boy Scouts themselves; but they have a double standard of wanting to take advantage of discounted rent and government grants without making their membership open to all and by promoting a Christian agenda. That is in violation of our constitution.
5) Saying homosexuality is wrong is not an opinion. It is a fear of something that is different. It's the same as saying being black is wrong because it's NOT SOMETHING YOU GET TO CHOOSE.
6) NO YOU DON'T. That makes you a douchebag and a shitty human being. Who says what you think is the norm is correct?
7) Our prison system contains over 70% minorities NATION WIDE. Is 70% of our nation composed of minorities? Uh, no - then they wouldn't be minorities, now would they?
8) I agree you should have to speak English to be a citzen of this country. But I also think we need to chill the fuck out about it. Having an accent doesn't mean you don’t speak English.
9)Your father and grandfather died most likely in unjustified wars that were politically motivated where the people in power had little regard for the lives of the soldiers. The only exception is WWII.
10) The Police regularly abuse their power, illegally search and detain people, and use excessive force. They are not all the fucking sheriff from Mayberry. Do a YouTube search for the cop who put a 14-year-old girl in a head lock and dropped her to the ground because she was skateboarding on a public sidewalk. Do a Digg.com search for the guy who happened to video tape a cop beating him during a routine traffic stop for no apparent reason and how his fellow officers are now harassing this individual.
11) So on the one hand, you want immigrants to learn English and become productive citizens of this country, but you think that there should be absolutely no assistance to do so? Your immigrant parents/grandparents/great grandparents would have LOVED to have some of these programs available to them.

I certainly never expected Texas to matter to the democrats, but lo and behold here we are with rallies and debates a-plenty. I actually got to attend the debate last week, which was fantastic - I won an ticket through an online lottery (no seats were available to the public). What surprised me more than anything, though, was an organization I hadn't known about called the Texas Democrats (http://www.txdemocrats.org/) which helped put the debate on. Really, the fact that they even exist is what surprises me. I often joke that a sign of eternal optimism is voting Democrat in Texas, but apparently I'm not the only optimist out there. My personal belief is that if we had voter turnout in the 90% (like we should) and everyone voted according to their own opinion we would have far fewer Red & Blue states and a lot more judging candidates on their respective merits. Instead, we allow a vocal minority in each state to speak for a majority that's - what? Apathetic? Disinterested? Lazy? Confused? I really don't understand why more people don't vote.
Texas has early voting and I've already cast my ballot (bet you can't guess who I voted for
). I still dream of Texas one day being a blue dot on the big CNN map.
